Objectives
1. To describe the history of the neurosciences and the brain modern conception concerning the relation brain-mind-behavior.
2. To identify the several disciplines of the neurosciences, their specificity, their inter-dependencies and their contribution for the understanding of the behavior.
3. To know and to explain synapses and neuronal neurophysiology.
4. To understand and explaining both general CNS development, and its specific structures, from phylogenesis and ontogenesis to adult individual.
5. To know CNS development principles as well as its anatomical and functional organization, centered in the role of the main brain structures and regions that are engaged in behavioral regulation.
Program
1. Epistemological introduction to the neuroscience.
2. CNS phylogenesis and ontogenesis.
3. Elementary notions of neurophysiology, neurochemistry, neuroendocrinology, and molecular neurobiology: from infra-cellular level to inter-cellular level.
4. Functional neuroanatomy: from spinal medulla level to telencephalon level.
