Resumo (PT): A vitimização de pares, definida como o desenrolar de comportamentos intencionalmente prejudiciais dirigidos a um individuo com menos poder, tem o seu impacto bem documentado na literatura, principalmente a nível de perturbações internalizadas. Face aos estudos que encaram esta associação como um fenómeno bidirecional, que se traduz num ciclo contínuo de impacto prejudicial, surge a necessidade de mapear os fatores que influenciam esta relação como um todo. O objetivo da presente scoping review passa por sistematizar as investigações realizadas acerca dos fatores de risco e fatores protetores que impactam a relação recíproca entre vitimização de pares e perturbações internalizadas, na população adolescente. Foi realizada uma pesquisa em três bases de dados, tendo sido selecionados 48 estudos que responderam à questão de investigação. Os resultados permitiram-nos reconhecer variáveis protetoras para esta relação, nomeadamente o apoio social de pares, progenitores, e professores. Igualmente, destacaram-se variáveis de caráter individual, como diferentes estilos de coping, competências socias, autoestima e altos níveis de esperança. Os fatores de risco analisados passaram pela desregulação emocional, autovalorização contingente, desesperança e isolamento social. Por último, foram analisadas duas variáveis de carácter biológico, nomeadamente a atividade eletrotérmica, e a qualidade do sono. Perante estes resultados, é possível obter um melhor entendimento daquelas que são as necessidades de adolescentes vitimizados, e traçar planos de prevenção e intervenção que possam deter esta problemática.

Abstract (EN): Peer victimization, defined as the occurrence of intentionally harmful behaviors directed at an individual with less power, has its impact well documented in the literature, particularly regarding internalizing disorders. Considering studies that see this association as a bidirectional phenomenon, resulting in a continuous cycle of detrimental impact on adolescents, it seems valuable to map the factors influencing this relationship as a whole. The objective of this scoping review is to systematize research on the risk and protective factors that impact the reciprocal relationship between peer victimization and internalizing disorders, in the adolescent population. A search was conducted across three databases, resulting in the selection of 48 studies that addressed the research question. The results allowed us to identify protective variables for this relationship, namely social support from peers, parents, and teachers. Additionally, individual variables such as different coping styles, social skills, self-esteem, and high levels of hope were highlighted. The risk factors analyzed included emotional dysregulation, contingent self-worth, hopelessness, and social isolation. Finally, two biological variables were analyzed: electrodermal activity and sleep quality. In light of these results, it is possible to gain a better understanding of the needs of victimized adolescents, and to develop prevention and intervention plans to address this issue.
