Resumo (PT): A dissertação em tela objetiva realizar um debate acerca dos desafios da interculturalidade. Precisamente, esta pesquisa possui os seguintes objetivos específicos: 1o Compreender como a interculturalidade é apresentada pelos teóricos que estruturam o campo; 2o Realizar o debate acerca do tema da interculturalidade nas teses, dissertações e artigos encontrados; 3o Contrastar as construções teóricas acerca do tema da interculturalidade com as pesquisas encontradas a partir do nosso levantamento. Para realização do levantamento dos materiais de análise, utilizamos os seguintes descritores: interculturalidade, educação e políticas educacionais. Estes foram prospetados em duas bases de dados representativas do cenário da pesquisa nacional (no contexto brasileiro), quais sejam: o banco de teses e dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal em Nível Superior (CAPES) e o Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), com o intervalo de 2015 a 2020, dos quis separamos o total de dez pesquisas. A partir da analise desses materiais, realizamos o contraste com o que apresentam os teóricos que estruturam o campo e concluímos que há uma crescente produção sobre esse tema no Brasil; e que, diferentes perspetivas são apresentadas sob a nomenclatura de interculturais; e, por fim, constatamos que há um acordo crítico – tendo em vista que por vezes aquilo que os autores nomeiam por interculturalidade não apresentam semelhança – que indica que as políticas educacionais devem levar em consideração a interculturalidade.

Abstract (EN): The dissertation on screen aims to hold a debate about the challenges of interculturality. Precisely, this research has the following specific objectives: 1st Understand how interculturality is presented by the theorists that structure the field; 2nd Hold the debate on the topic of interculturality in the theses, dissertations and articles found; 3rd Contrast the theoretical constructions on the topic of interculturality with the research found from our survey. To carry out the survey of analysis materials, we used the following descriptors: interculturality, education and educational policies. These were prospected in two representative databases of the national research scenario (in the Brazilian context), namely: the theses and dissertations bank of the Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination (CAPES) and the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), with the range from 2015 to 2020, from the ques we separated a total of ten searches. From the analysis of these materials, we made a contrast with what the theorists who structure the field present and concluded that there is a growing production on this topic in Brazil; and that different perspectives are presented under the nomenclature of intercultural; and, finally, we found that there is a critical agreement – considering that sometimes what the authors call interculturality do not present similarity – which indicates that educational policies must take interculturality into account.
