No âmbito do ciclo de conferências do Programa Doutoral em Psicologia, a FPCEUP acolhe Tharina Guse, da Universidade de Joanesburgo (África do Sul).

A conferência é dedicada ao tema “Applied Positive Psychology as it relates to psychotherapy in clinical settings”.

Saber mais sobre Tharina Guse:
Dr Tharina Guse is a counselling psychologist, associate professor and Head of the Department of Psychology at the University of Johannesburg. She started her career first as a psychologist in private practice, doing psychotherapy with adults and children, returning to academia after 15 years.   Her research focus on psychosocial well-being, positive psychology interventions and psychological strengths such as hope and gratitude. Closely aligned with this broad focus she also conducts research on the application of hypnosis for the promotion of mental health and well-being. Currently she lectures positive psychology on undergraduate level, as well as integrative psychotherapy and applied positive psychology on the MA Clinical/Counselling Psychology programme at UJ.
