Apresentação Pessoal

Mariana Kaiseler qualified with an undergraduate degree in Physical Education and a Masters degree in Sport Science – specialization in Exercise Psychology. In September 2006 she was awarded a Ph.D scholarship and a Graduate Teaching Position at the University of Hull, UK. During these years, she developed research in the area of Performance Psychology, specifically examining “gender and personality influence in stress and coping”. Following the completion of her Ph.D, she started a Lecturing post at the University of Derby, completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). She is also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS). Over the years, she has also gained significant experience in Applied Performance Psychology through working with a number of individual and team clients. These include: Football clubs; wide range of University sport teams, and voluntary associations in the UK. Additionally, she has completed an internship at IMG Academies Mental Condition Division in Florida, USA. In 2010, she has joined the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences University of Porto (FPCEUP) as a Research fellow, and was an Invited Lecturer at Faculty of Engineering (FEUP). Mariana was awarded the first Marie Curie Fellowship at FPCEUP investigating Stress and Coping among Police Officers  (SCOPE), and her research has also received complementary funding from the Ministry of Science in Portugal.
