The mission of the Office for Quality Promotion (ProQual) is to define the policy and the strategy of the FPCEUP regarding Quality Assurance, and to implement it in the daily institutional life.

Within the framework of the Quality Management System of the University of Porto, the Office for Quality Promotion:

. Defines the role and responsibilities of the institutional bodies, professors, technical staff, researchers and students in quality assurance

. Establishes and monitors the procedures to be followed

. Coordinates and drives the implementation of quality standards and procedures, as recommended in the Internal Quality Management System of the University of Porto (SIGQUP)

The Office for Quality Promotion is responsible for:

1. Evaluating and monitoring of the current state of compliance with quality standards in teaching / learning, research, and services
2. Collaborating in the implementation and stimulation to comply with quality standards in teaching / learning, research, resources and services
3. Preparing assessment tools to support the management of teaching / learning activities, research / transfer of knowledge and services, and the pursuit of quality objectives
4. Driving the collection and organization of the data needed for several institutional indicators
5. Maintaining the institutional indicators updated
6. Processing quality data and prepare improvement reports

Constitution/Composition of the Office for Quality Promotion:

 The commitment with quality is assumed by the executive, scientific and pedagogical boards of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, which share strategies and develop an opened and participated governance. The management board of the ProQual comprises the Director of the Faculty, as well as the Presidents of the Scientific and the Pedagogical boards. Its executive coordinator is the vicedirector and its activities are ensured by a senior technician.
