Since work is a construct that requires a multidisciplinary approach, this course seeks to integrate and discuss the approaches of different social sciences to work and to the evolution of work organization.
The activity of work psychologists requires the understanding of these different points of view in the definition of intervention projects that contribute to the safeguarding of fundamental rights in the exercise of a professional activity.At the end of this UC students should know/be able to:
a) Understand the challenges and the dominant frames of reference in contemporary society regarding the exercise of work.
b) Understand the contributions and fundamentals of different social sciences on work and employment.
c) Understand the developmental character and the transforming potential of the work psychologist's intervention, integrated in an interdisciplinary approach.
d) To evidence ethical thinking and social responsibility in the analysis of the of work and employment phenomena.
The course is organized in TP classes that include:
- exposure of theoretical frameworks;
- analysis and discussion of texts;
- presentation and discussion of studies, practical cases and discussions with experts in the field.
Theoretical-concetual integration is guaranteed through the exposure of theoretical frameworks and the analysis and discussion of texts, as well as by the invitation of experts in other social sciences, beyond psychology.
The action of the work psychologist in real context is conceived by reflecting on the practical cases presented and then through its autonomous analysis, even if embodied in the shared theoretical frameworks and in tutorial support.
Interaction with multidisciplinary teams and ethical thinking are intentionally worked on this analysis and on the ongoing reflection based on it.
