Objectives
GOALS
- mobilize different theoretical contributions from history, sociology, gender studies and feminists to think about gender, body and gender violence;

Learning outcomes
It is expected the students will be able:
- to identify concepts from different theoretical and historical perspectives on gender, the body and violence;
- to connect research on the body with gender studies and the research on gender violence;
- to mobilize concepts and perspectives to critically analyse day-by-day situations, both locally, nationally and internationally;
- to mobilize knowledge to think about socio-educational intervention on gender violence;
- to mobilize theoretical and historical knowledge to case analysis and develop projects in educational field across the field on gender violence.

Teaching methods and learning activities
This UC constitutes the specific theoretical basis of the master domain. In this sense, the teaching methodology will privilege pedagogic strategic of mobilization of theoretical and historical studies and theories.
At the same time, the methodology will include:
- the presentaton of concepts and theories by group of students (or individually);
- debate, reflexion and analysis of texts and day-by-day situations.
