As a core curricular unit in the 'Education, Communities and Social Change' domain, it aims to deepen and problematize the concepts of community health, community, social change, human rights and citizenship, allowing students, in a first phase, the identification of lines of work, within this domain, and subsequently, the construction of their research / internship projects in Educational Sciences.
At the end of the course, students will have acquired knowledge and developed skills that will allow them to:
- Reflect on policies, programs, projects and practices of educational, social and community intervention in a critical and grounded manner.
- Analyze and discuss different processes, projects and socio-educational intervention strategies;
- Develop a research object and an investigation / action plan;
- Identify the relevance of the research object in the broad field of Educational Sciences.
1. Experience and practice - research and intervention

As it is a course that involves the definition of a research-internship project by students, participatory methodologies will be explored, although guided by a set of methodological and conceptual devices. Thus, the course assumes the involvement of students and will include sessions:
- for exploiting resources of a methodological and ethical nature;
- themes that account for ongoing research within the domain's themes;
