Resumo (PT): O artigo explora a intersecção entre Estudos Culturais e Teorias Decoloniais, destacando como essas áreas convergem de maneira inter e transdisciplinar para desafiar e repensar as dinâmicas de poder, produção de conhecimento e representação cultural no mundo contemporâneo. Os Estudos Culturais, nascidos no contexto do trabalho de Stuart Hall e outros na Universidade de Birmingham, concentram-se na crítica da cultura através da lente do poder, enquanto as Teorias Decoloniais emergem, principalmente na América Latina, como uma crítica aos legados do colonialismo e à continuidade das estruturas de poder coloniais. A articulação dessas perspetivas oferece novas abordagens para entender e transformar as condições sociais e culturais vigentes.

Abstract (EN): This paper explores the intersection between Cultural Studies and Decolonial Theories, highlighting how these fields converge in an inter and transdisciplinary manner to challenge and rethink dynamics of power, knowledge production and cultural representation in the contemporary world. Originating from Stuart Hall's foundational work at the University of Birmingham, Cultural Studies focus on critiquing culture through a lens of power. Decolonial Theories, primarily emerging in Latin America, critique the legacies of colonialism and the continuity of colonial power structures. The articulation of these perspectives provides new approaches to understanding and transforming prevailing social and cultural conditions.
