Summary: |
Research aims at developing risk assessment and situational intervention tools for screening and preventing misconduct in entrepreneurship. Considering the relevance of entrepreneurship on economic growth, this project intends to assess, describe and prevent misconduct committed by entrepreneurs. Such approach considers the interaction between personality characteristics of the entrepreneur and organizational environment. While these behaviours are not considered crime, they have been considered as misconduct producing externalities, endangering business moral environment, trust of stakeholders, investors, and consumers. The project
will create a "Misconduct in Entrepreneurship Scale", correlating personality profiles and endorsement of misconduct among a sample of entrepreneurs. Measures of organizational culture, including ethical climate and prevention of misconduct, will be assessed. Intervention mechanisms for prevention of misconduct in entrepreneurship will be created. |
