I am Post-doctoral researcher and member of the Speech Group of FPCE.UP. My main interests pertain to Experimental Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Psycholinguistics. During my PhD I have studied speech segmentation, and in particular the role of different sources of information and of the listening conditions, being supervised by Prof. Paulo Ventura of the University of Lisbon and Prof. Régine Kolinsky of Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). During 2008 I was a post-doctoral fellow at ULB. At the present I am also interest on the impact of literacy acquisition in visual and speech processing, considering the Neural Recycling Hypothesis (Dehaene et al.) and the Perceptual Expertise Hypothesis (Gautier et al.)
