- Aplication of acquired knowledge in real situations of daylife.

Learning outcomes and competences

To have the ability to understand at a chemical and biological level some of the phenomena that happen in our daily life, which involve our body and how it can adpt to distinct situations.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Theoretical classes for the development of the syllabus topics, with continuous participation of the students. Theoretical-practical classes for the realization of exercises elated to the syllabus topics. Practical classes for the discussion of the main metabolic pathways. Practical classes for the elaboration of online evaluation elements in which students must: prepare a text developing topics provided by the teacher and may, for this, use bibliographic and online research; respond correctly and as quickly as possible to the various issues raised by the teacher (Netquest).

Calculation formula of final grade

Final classification = classification in written exam (maximum = 10 values) + average classification of the questionaries of the practical classes (maximum = 4 values) + classification in the oral presentation (maximum = 2 values) + classification in the worksheets of the practical classes (maximum = 2 x 1 value) + classification in the NetQuest (2 x 1 value).

Written work or web page (optional) = maximum of 1 value to add to the final classification.
