Objectives

This course aims to enable students who start an academic course for the tasks of search and knowledge production that lie ahead. So, first, is expected to become able to adequately use the tools / access to information provided by the scientific community and the University of Porto. Once sensitized to the importance of interpersonal communication in today's society, it is intended to provide students with skills for effective dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Learning outcomes and competences

It is expected that in the context of this course, students acquire skills in order to be able to plan, implement and present scientific research, taking into account;
- The steps of the scientific method;
- The use of credible sources of information;
- The rules for writing, presentation and/or publication of various scientific papers.
