Objectives
The transmission of the concepts and principles that govern the scientific spirit is the first priority, to be followed by the motivation for scientific work.
This should enable the students to discipline: the literature (methodologies and sources), implementation of research design (integration of objectives and statistical methods), the interpretation of results based on mathematical calculation and dissemination.
Finally, encourage scientific work for the multidisciplinary skills and obtaining greater interaction.

Eligibility for exams
The evaluation system will be implemented by the method of discontinuous and summative assessment procedure to be carried out with a written test and two practical tests. Being dependent on the approval of a minimum score of 9 values in different periods. Will follow, in particular time, take action (theory and practical) to those who need and are excluded students who hold more than 1 / 4 faults in relation to the number of classes taught.
Evaluation Procedure
Theoretical:
2 hour written test (45% quote);
Practical component:
Group work (cotação15%)
Report on statistical analysis of scientific activity (quotation 30%).
Attendance: (Rating 10% of the proportionate share of attendance)
Conditions of approval:
1. In the assessment procedure, students may be approved only with more than 9 out of 20 in each of the components evaluated (theoretical and practical) and achieving a minimum average of 10 points.
2. Minimum attendance in lectures and practical (3 / 4).
3. Students may obtain approval to take action, if implemented the previous paragraph.
4. Passing the final exam will depend on achieving a minimum of 9 points in each of the components.
Calculation formula of final grade
Continuous evaluation formula:
Final Evaluation = 0.45* Written test + 0.15 * Test group + 0.30 *Statistical analysis report + 0.1 * coefficient of attendance
After completion of the previous evaluation, students may resort to appeal exam lasting 2 hours (Theoretical examination) and 1 hour (Practical examination) to be held on the same day.
Formula assessment exam feature:
Final Evaluation = 0.70* Written test + 0.20 *Practical examination + 0.1 * Attendance
Minimum grade in each of the components - 9 values
Classification improvement
Formula assessment exam feature:
Final Evaluation = 0.75 * Theoretical examination + 0.25 * Practical Exam
Minimum grade in each of the components - 9 values
