The fundamental goals are the deepening and consolidation of the scientific spirit started in the EB I. Thus, it is intended that students differentiate the applicability of different parametric and non-parametric statistical methods for testing relationship hypothesis. In addition, it is intended that the students might be able to determine the strength and the evidence of statistical results and finally, the students must know to discuss the plausibility of a possible causal link. Iis intended to obtain critical skills, although empirical, about multifactorial nature that underlies the origin of the overwhelming majority of diseases. In the field of Epidemiology, further it’s aimed that students know to interpret the main properties of diagnostic methods and, according to them, to discuss the application of diagnostic procedures and methods of suited to the proposed aims.
It is estimated that the students obtain analitycal and critical capacity before statistical results, and gain critical skills in the analysis of scientific papers.
Statistics 1. Applied statistics with SPSS statistical analysis and calculation
Adjustment of a variable to a function of the probability distribution:Kolmogorov - Smirnov test and Qui-square test
Correlation and Pearson linear regression

Practical and theoretical-practical lessons are relied from faults regimen.
The evaluation system will be implemented by the method of discontinuous and summative assessment procedure to be carried out with a teorical test and a practical test
Discontinuous and summative assessment: Theoretical exam (quotation 45% ); Practical exam of statistic and SPSS (quotation 22,5% + 22,5%). Attendance: (Rating 10% of the proportionate share of attendance).
Conditions of approval:
1. In the assessment procedure, students may be approved only with more than 10 out of 20 in each of the two exames (theoretical and practical) and achieving a minimum average of 10 points.
2. Minimum attendance in lectures and practical (3 / 4).
Resource evaluation: Theoretical exam (quotation - 50%); practical exam (quotation - 50%).
Conditions of approval:
1. Final classification, minimum 10 points.
2. Minimum attendance in lectures and practical (3/4).
Normal Season: The evaluation system consists of the procedural method of assessment, summative and discontinuous, spread over three steps: 1st Moment of assessment - Practical test (P1) - proportion 45%; 2nd Moment - theoretical test (T1) (proportion 45%); 3rd Moment - Attendance (quotation stratified in relation to attendance, in addition to the mandatory minimum and a maximum of two values - 10%). The approval is made to depend on a minimum grade of 10 marks at any moment of evaluation described. Formula assessment procedure, discontinuous and summative: Final assessment = 0,45*P1 + 0,45*T1 + attendance. Students often failed in the previous year, but did not have the attendance component. The approval will be according to the formula of final evaluation = T1*0.5 + 0.5 * P1, depending on a minimum score of 10 in two evaluation described P1 and T1. Appeal chance: Will be submitted to the examination appeals, students without prior approval and which have no more than 25% of faults in relation to the lessons given (taking frequency arising out of or in previous years). This method of evaluation consists of an examination - theoretical exam (T) and a practical exam (P) not subject to minimum grade. Students with a grade of 14 in practical exam obtained in the respective normal season will be excuse. Formula assessment for final exam:
Final Exam assessment = 0,5*T + 0,5*P
Evaluation in extraordinary time (September):
This evaluation is composed by a theorectical exam (T) and a practical exam (P). Minimum remarks are not required.
Final classification=0,75*T + 0,25*P
