Objectives
Know the main psychological dynamics and processes with implications in orthodontics.
Reinforce the importance of clinical communication, particularly in the clinical practice of orthodontists.
The motivation for and during orthodontic treatment.
Understand how the teamwork, particularly with psychiatrists and psychologists, can be important in the clinical practice of orthodontists.

Increased awareness of the need for clinical communication.

Improvement of the transdisciplinary approach to clinical cases.

The intervention in specific situations - the complementary approach to orthodontic intervention:
- patients with indication for orthodontic-surgical-orthognathic treatment.
- patients with craniofacial deformity
- more frequent types of psychic disorders.

Eligibility for exams
Class attendance - minimum 75% of contact hours.
Calculation formula of final grade
The assessment shall be calculated on a scale from 0 to 20 according to the following parameters:
50% - Presentation,discussion of cases and participation in classes;
50% - Test
Examinations or Special Assignments
Not existing as a matter of principle.
They may be necessary only in exceptional situations where any of the assessment parameters are not met; such work shall be determined by the circumstances of each particular case.
