Getting to know FEUP

Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) is a leading institution of international reputation whose achievements in research and teaching have established itself in the forefront of the universites of engineering.

The Faculty is committed to the highest standards of education, in furtherance of its mission to advance learning and knowledge, preparing professional engineers at an international level.

The Faculdade de Engenharia has a departmental structure, organised around the following main classical areas: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Management, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mining Engineering. Over the past years, and based on this structure, new areas such as informatics and environment have found their way and established themselves in the Faculty life.

The whole activity of the School is supported by a number of relevant Services and Units directly dependent from the Executive Board, namely: a Library providing modern facilities for accessing information including on line and digital resources; a Computer Center responsible for up-to-date informatics services and responsible for an important award winning internal information system (SIFEUP), Academic and Administrative Services, an External Relations Service (SRE) and Units specialised in international relations, multimedia facilities (the GAUTI), vocational guidance and professional integration.
