Rosa Forte holds a PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Porto (2005). She also earned a Master’s degree (1998) and an undergraduate degree in Economics (1992) from the same institution. In June 2022, she obtained her Habilitation degree in Economics from the University of Porto.

Her professional journey began in 1992 as a technician at IAPMEI, where she analyzed and monitored investment projects until 1996. Subsequently, she joined the Economics Department at the Faculty of Economics, University of Porto, where she currently serves as an Associate Professor and Chair of the Economics scientific group. She has also been the director of the FEP Master’s degree in International Business from 2010 to 2019.

As an Integrated Researcher at CEF.UP (Center for Economics and Finance), University of Porto, she has contributed to several published papers in international journals, such as the International Journal of Finance & Economics, Applied Economics, Review of Managerial Science, Journal of Air Transport Management, International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, Journal of International Trade & Economic Development, among others. Her research interests revolve around export determinants, foreign direct investment, and the impact of firms’ international involvement.
