Rosário Moreira holds a PhD (2005) in Business Sciences, a Master's degree (1997) in Economics, and a Bachelor's degree (1994) in Management from the School of Economics at the University of Porto (FEP). In 1998, she completed the academic portion of the MQG (Master in Quantitative Methods for Management) at ISEE (now Porto Business School, PBS).

Since 1996, she has been a Professor at FEP, where she has taught courses in Optimization, Logistics and Operations, Accounting and Management Control, Quality Management, and Project Management.

Since 2015, she has been a member of the Scientific Committee of the Master in Management program at FEP. In 2023, she became a member of the Scientific Committee for the Bachelor’s Degree in Management. Between 2015 and 2023, she was the Director of the Degree in Management at FEP and was a member of the Scientific Council of the School of Economics and the Scientific Group for Management.

Since 2006, she has also been a Professor at PBS, teaching various courses in her areas of expertise, and has been involved in consulting and entrepreneurship projects for several postgraduate and MBA programs. From 2018 to 2024, she was a member of the PBS Academic Council. She coordinated PBS Postgraduate Programs for Quality and Accreditation between 2018 and 2021. Since 2020, she has been the Director of the PBS Global Online MBA and, from 2021 to 2024, served as the Director of the PBS Executive MBA.

As of 2024, she is a non-executive director of Futebol Clube do Porto SAD.

Since 2019, she has been a researcher at INESCTEC. She has authored several publications in international journals, e.g. the International Journal of Production Research, the Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Total Quality Management and Business Excellence, etc. She has organized several international scientific conferences, notably EIBA-2010 and the OPTIMIZATION-2007. She has presented papers at numerous international scientific events, such as APDIO, EURO (European Conference on Operational Research), and EUROSIS.

Her research focuses on various management areas, including Optimization, Operations Management, Lean, E-commerce, Social Media, Innovation, Leadership, Internationalization, and Quality Management.

She was a guest lecturer, teaching International Operations Management in brief courses at Banco Santander (2012 and 2013) and Project Management to leadership teams from northern municipalities (Porto, Matosinhos, Maia, V.N. Gaia) from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, she has worked as a consultant for various companies in management control.
