Personal Presentation

João Ribeiro holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance at the University of Manchester, UK (2003) as well as an MSc in Accounting and Finance at the University of Manchester/UMIST (1999) and a degree in Management at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto - FEP (1996). He teaches and researches at FEP, mostly in the areas of Accounting and Management Control. He was the Director of the Doctoral Program in Management at FEP and also the coordinator of the Accounting and Management Control section. He was Pro-Rector in the University of Porto responsible for the areas of Strategic Planning and Corporate Holdings (2015-2018). He has also been involved in executive training at Porto Business School, both as a lecturer and degree coordinator. Currently he is a member of the General Council of this institution.
