Abstract (EN): Complexes of copper(II) and 1-(2-carbamylethyl)-2-alkylimidazoles have been studied. The following have been synthesized and characterized by spectral (vis-UV, IR and EPR) and variable temperature magnetic data: CuX2(CIm)4 (X = ClO4, Cl, Br, NCS) and CuX2(CMIm)4·H2O (X = Cl, Br), tetragonally distorted hexa-coordinated; CuX2(CIm)2 (X = Cl, Br), square distorted tetra-coordinated or bridged with higher coordination number; and CuCl2(CEIm)2, whose geometry was not unequivocally characterized. © 1990.
