Abstract (EN): This paper deals with the experimental evaluation of the influence of some aspects in masonry behaviour, applied to a new masonry system developed in Portugal for an industrial company. The aspects analysed were the influence of unfilled/filled vertical joints and the influence of unreinforced mortar rendering on shear (in-plane) behaviour. The analysis was made through a comparison between experimental results obtained from standard diagonal tension tests. The paper focuses mainly on the experimental evaluation and on the results analysis.
