Objectives
The main aim of this subject is to expand students’ knowledge in Commercial Contracts Law and give them a greater level of expertise and aptitude. The students will be encouraged to appraise and evaluate real-life situations in light of a body of law, applying the law to the facts. To enable personal growth, self-improvement, and intellectual accomplishment are also central objectives of a Master degree and of this subject.
Learning outcomes and competences
Students are expected to:
- Indicate the main legal specificities about commercial contracts and the way they reflect in the general principles of contract law.
- Understand the purpose and use of the main types of commercial contracts.
- Be able to apply the legal regime of the most important distribution contracts.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The first approach to each subject on the syllabus will consist on a theoretical exposition, followed by the presentation and critical analysis of examples gathered from business life. After the theoretical exposition, the approach will consist on the presentation of practical exercises on the matter under discussion.Evaluation Type

Eligibility for exams
According to applicable rules
Calculation formula of final grade
Distributed evaluation without final exam, composed of three elements: two tests to be performed in class: 40% each test; oral presentation in class: 20%.
Failing any of the evaluation elements will result in a grade of 0 on that component.
Students may be evaluated on the three components by a final exam in case of a final grade inferior to 10, in the same academic year.
Classification improvement
Final global exam.
