Objectives

Deepen and update knowledge, as well as develop and stimulate the interpretation and critical analysis of legal solutions relating to cutting-edge and current issues of corporate law. Master students should be able to solve concrete situations when confronted with the problems analysed in the CU, knowing the doctrine and jurisprudence and understanding the ratio legis subjacente. It is also intended to promote the maturity and research capacities of research capacities of the students.

Learning outcomes and competences

The defined programmatic contents correspond to a post-graduate level of learning, not being object of teaching in the licentiate degree due to its technical complexity and high specialization, and demand the capacity of analysis and investigation of the masters students. They allow a very complete and diversified vision of the main problems that corporate law raises every day, putting the students in conditions to deal with these issues in their professional lives.

Teaching methods and learning activities

Presentation of the subject in the classroom with reference to the applicable legislation and recent case law. Questioning of the students on the different subjects and encouragement to ask questions. Resolution of practical cases based on the pertinent case law.

Distributed evaluation with final exam.

Calculation formula of final grade

The assessment will be made up of the following components: presentation of individual work - 40 per cent; face-to-face participation - 10 per cent and final exam - 50 per cent. Failure to complete any of the assessment elements will result in a mark of 0 for that component for the purposes of calculating the final average. All three components of the distributed assessment may be taken by written exam during the appeal period.

Grades can only be improved by a final exam
