Eligibility for exams

Practical evaluation consists of the descriptive and critical analysis of an empirical reserach in the scientific domain of the curricular unit. Students should search the databases available at UP for an empirical article that addresses one of the core themes developed during the semester. The approval in the practical component is a prerequisite for admission to the final written exam. The successful completion of U.C. implies that the student obtain at least 8 values in each of the evaluation components and the final score is equal to or higher than 10.

In the case of students exempted from attending classes, there will be an assessment that will focus on the same practical exercise. The same evaluation will be performed during the last week of classes at a date and time to be determined in due course.

Calculation formula of final grade

 final classification = 0,75xEF + 0,25xT,
EF = final exam
T = practical work

Classification improvement

In accordance with the "Regulamento de Avaliação de Conhecimentos do Primeiro Ciclo de Estudos em Criminologia da FDUP".
