Resumo (PT): O presente artigo pretende (i) examinar o ambiente de invisibilidade feminina na música e a ascensão feminina no rock; (ii) verificar o histórico do movimento Riot Grrrl e dos Girls Rock Camps; compreender seus objetivos e motivações; identificar os principais agentes envolvidos na produção da edição de Porto Alegre e analisar as estratégias de articulação, produção e divulgação; (iii) investigar o uso da inteligência coletiva e do ethos Do It Yourself na transmissão de conhecimento acerca das tecnologias musicais durante o evento, bem como durante a organização deste, por meio do uso das tecnologias digitais durante as etapas de produção e divulgação do Girls Rock Camp Porto Alegre; e (iv) ao final, averiguar a relação da participação no Girls Rock Camp Porto Alegre com a construção de uma identidade roqueira nas meninas.
Abstract (EN): This article aims to (i) examine the environment of female invisibility in music and the rise of women in rock; (ii) check the history of Riot grrrl movement and of the Girls Rock Camps; understand its goals and motivations; identify the key players involved in the production of the Porto Alegre edition and analyse the articulation, production and dissemination strategies; (iii) investigate the use of collective intelligence and the Do It Yourself ethos in the transmission of knowledge about musical technologies during the event, as well as for the organisation thereof, through the use of digital technologies throughout the stages of production and dissemination of the Girls Rock Camp Porto Alegre; and (iv) in the end, examine the relationship between participation in the Girls Rock Camp Porto Alegre and the construction of a rocker identity in girls.
