Objectives

The purpose of this course unit is to deepen the knowledge on specific topics of Commercial Law, essential to the correct understanding of the market and commercial activity in general.

Learning outcomes and competences

Students are expected to:
- Identify the most important aspects about Commercial Companies and their purpose;
- Understand the most important mechanisms for corporate acquisions, mergers and groups;
- Indicate the main legal specificities about commercial contracts and the way they reflect in the general principles of contract law.

Teaching methods and learning activities

The first approach to each subject on the syllabus will consist on a theoretical exposition, followed by the presentation and critical analysis of examples gathered from business life. After the theoretical exposition, the approach will consist on the presentation of practical exercises on the matter under discussion
