General Higher Education Admission Policy 2023/2024

Most students engage in the national competitive application process. They may apply to as many as six pairs of institutions/degree courses, in other words, six different combinations of institutions and degrees, in order of preference. For each pair, the applicants must have entrance exam marks equal to or above the minimum established by the institution as well as in the application score.

FCUP Admission Procedures

The score on the application for all first-cycle applicants results from the average of the student's secondary school marks and those on the entrance exam(s) (weighted 50% for each). The minimum application score is 100 points (on a scale of 0-200) with the minimum on the entrance exam being 95 points (on a scale of 0-200).
