Objectives
The internship aims to assess the students' ability to meet the real world challenges and to promote their professional integration in IT companies.
Learning outcomes and competences
During the internship students should be able to:
1. be integrated in the company's work processes ;
2. apply the knowledge gained in the first three years of the study cycle in analyzing and solving business problems.

Program
The internship proposals are provided by companies with which the Department of Computer Science, through the Faculty of Science, maintains cooperation agreements. The proposals are validated by the faculty member responsible for this course.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The internship will be supervised by the company. The final grade will be given based on the assessment reported by the company and on a final report prepared by the student.

Calculation formula of final grade
The internshipwill be evaluated according to the following directives:
Autonomy with which the work was done
(Information to be provided by the external supervisor)
- Low - difficult to progress autonomously;
- Average - some autonomy but with blocking situations that required the intervention of the advisor;
- High - very good ability to solve problems independently eat intervention advisor focused on defining the next steps of the work.
Satisfaction of objectives
(Assessed by the report and the external supervisor's information )
- Low - reached to the objectives considered minimum for the proposed work;
- Average - the were reached wish though possibly not natotalidade;
- High - reached up fully, or even exceeded up, the objectives set.
Intrinsic difficulty level
(Assessed by the report)
- Low - relatively easy work, both from a scientific or technical point of view, based onwidespread knowledge;
- Average - work with some high complexity of details requiring more advanced knowledge / expertise, either technical or scientific;
