Objectives

Apply the knowledge from previous network courses on a lab environment so to develop expertises on configuration, maintenance and monitoring of IP networks. The course will be based on lab developments for the study of IP and routing protocols and essential network services.

Program

* Configuration of Cisco routers, using the IOS.
* Linux network configuration.
* Analysis and monitoring of protocols (using tools for capture and analysis of network packets).
* Administration/configuration of routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP) (in Cisco Routers).
* Configuration of DNS servers (using the bind service).
* Configuration of DHCP servers (Linux and Cisco).
* Administration of NAT service (Linux iptables and Cisco).
* Monitoring the network equipment using SNMP.
