Abstract (EN): New derivatives of dibenzo-18-crown-6 ether with two appended N2O2 tetradentate Schiff bases were prepared by a multistep procedure which involved the preparation of tetranitro derivative of dibenzo-18-crown-6 in acetic media, their reduction by direct hydrogenation to the tetraamino derivative and finally Schiff condensation with salicylaldehyde and o-vanillin in dry methanol:acetonitrile.
