Resumo (PT): Este artigo foca-se no arquivo do mosteiro de Rendufe e tem como principal objetivo compreender o que terá levado ao desaparecimento quase total da sua documentação medieval e quando tal facto terá acontecido. Para tal, centraremos a nossa atenção em dois inventários produzidos nos inícios do século XIX: o primeiro não datado, mas datável das primeiras décadas dessa centúria, e, o segundo, produzido em 1834 no seguimento do decreto de extinção das ordens religiosas em Portugal. Estas duas fontes forneceram dados que nos permitiram construir uma ideia sobre o que terá sucedido aos documentos medievais de Rendufe.

Abstract (EN): This article examines the archive of the Portuguese monastery of Rendufe, with the primary aim of understanding the factors that led to the near-total disappearance of its medieval documentation and determining when this occurred. To this end, we focus on two inventories produced in the early nineteenth century: the first is undated but can be attributed to the initial decades of the century, while the second was compiled in 1834 following the decree of extinction of the religious orders. These two sources provide data that enable us to construct an understanding of what happened to Rendufe’s medieval documents.
