Abstract (EN): Biological hazards are an important occupational health problem. The intention in this article is to present a short review on the exposure of health workers to biological agents transmitted by aerosols. 637 articles were collected, and 41 were selected for analysis. It is recognized that bioaerosols are the cause of several diseases. However, there are difficulties to establish their prevalence and incidence within occupational range. Also there are no official records on occupational infectious diseases or airway that caused the death of health professionals
