Abstract (EN):
The primary goal of this work it was to investigate, in an office environment with glass fronts, what could be the most efficient and adequate lighting system, considering suitable products available in the market at Jun of 2015. All required information was collected through bibliographic review. Manufacturers and sales representative were consulted about their products, to choose the suitable alternatives to T8 fluorescent lamps. The level of the illuminance of the current lighting system was measured, using a lux meter. The performance of the chosen lighting systems, including the current one, was evaluated through luminotechnical simulation projects using the software DIALux_evo_5.5.0. The study ends with a technical and financial analysis made to support the decision of the previous results. The study concluded the advantages of the use of T5 fluorescent lamps, that although less efficient, with higher energy consumption, they present an earlier payback time.
