Personal Presentation

Manuel E. Correia completed his Master's degree in Foundations of Advanced Information Technologies at Imperial College London and his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Porto. He is currently an Associate Professor with Habilitation, in the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, where he is also a member of the Scientific Committee for the Master's program in Information Security. He is an integrated member of INESC TEC Porto, where he leads the area of information security within the CRACS group.

Throughout his career, he has been the coordinating investigator for several research projects related to Information Security. His current research interests focus on Anomaly Detection, Trusted Execution Environments, Digital Identity, and Biometrics. He has secured and served as a cybersecurity consultant on several R&D contracts. He regularly collaborates with the Public Administration on cybersecurity-related topics for the Health and Education sectors.

He served as Pro-Rector for Technological Infrastructures and Information Systems Security at the University of Porto from June 2018 to November 2021.021
