Registrations – Doctoral Program 2025-2026 - Phase 1

The period for enrolment and registration in curricular units will take place online during the deadlines stated below. To enrol, you must use the access credentials used in your application.



The registration in curricular units that make up the Study Plan is mandatory.

After enrolling, you must access the system with your student credentials (upXXXXXXXXX) and select the curricular units.

Regulation

Before enrolling, we alert you to the importance of reading the information regarding Regulations and Tuition fee, namely Registration as a Full time or Partial time student, Student Worker Status and Attendance withdrawal.

At the end of the enrolment process, by clicking “Enrolment and registration”, you will be automatically acquiring all the duties and rights of a regular student of the University of Porto. According to the legislation and regulatory standards in place, you will be subject to the fulfilment of the payment of academic insurance, tuition fee and other applicable fees as per the Table of Fees of the University of Porto

Denial of Enrolment


You will not be able to enrol if:
  • You have not submitted the required documents that attest your qualifications/degree. The certificate must be sent by email to pos.graduacao@fc.up.pt by 10 a.m. (Lisbon time: GMT+0) of the last day of registration.
  • If you completed your degree abroad and you have not submitted the validated documents with the Hague Apostille or validation from the Portuguese Consulate/Embassy in the country where the degree was concluded. In this case, you must send the respective documents by email to pos.graduacao@fc.up.pt by 10 a.m. (Lisbon time: GMT+0) of the last day of registration for the course.

Enrolment Fee and School Insurance

According to the Table of Fees of the University of Porto, the admission to a Doctoral Program has an enrolment fee of 100¤. This fee must be paid upon registration, as well as the school insurance of 2¤.

International Students - Ordinance nº 111/2019, from April 12th

In order to comply with recent national regulations (Ordinance nº 111/2019, from April 12th), regarding the process of issuing visas for foreign students placed in Portuguese Universities, we hereby request that you inform us the consular post which is responsible for issuing your visa. The information must be sent via e-mail to pos.graduacao@fc.up.pt.

Our Rectory will send this information to the Directorate-General for Consular Affairs and Portuguese Communities, to expedite the procedures for issuing visas. However, this information does not exempt the process between the student and the consular post.

Students holding/applicants for Scholarships

Students who hold or have applied to a FCT Scholarship, or whose tuition fees must be charged to an external institution, must send proof to pos.graduacao@fc.up.pt.
