Master & Doctoral Degree - Online Registration Guidelines - 2024/2025

New Student

UP Student

Step 1 - Login

Login by using the same credentials used upon your application. If you don’t remember your credentials, you may recover them here

Step 2 – Select the Course

Step 3 – Select the mode of study

Select the mode of study in which you wish to register: full time or partial time.

Step 4 – Select the tuition fee payment plan

Click on “Select Ten Instalments”.
If you’re a First Degree student, Integrated Master student or Master student, besides the shown amount, you’ll still have to pay the academic insurance (2€).
If you’re a Doctoral student, besides the shown amount, you’ll still have to pay the academic insurance (2€) and the registration fee (100€).

Step 5 – Confirm enrolment and registration

After careful reading of the information present in the page, tick the box and then click in “Confirm enrolment and registration”.

Step 6 – Information about next steps

Before continuing with the courses registration (UCs), you must access your email so that you can generate your student credentials.
Note: you only have 24 hours to generate these credentials.

Step 7 – Check your email

Step 8 – Activate your student credentials

If you’re not able to generate your credentials within the 24 hours deadline, please follow these steps:

Step 9 – Access Courses Registration (UCs)

Access to courses registration may also be done by accessing the Faculty webpage, authenticating with the student credentials previously generated, clicking on your name and then choosing “Inscrições” on the right side options menu.

Step 10 – Fill in the Survey NEE (Special Educational Needs)

Change any information, if necessary. Click in “Next” to go to the next step.

Step 11 – Fill in general data survey

Step 11.1 – Identification

Confirm the data and change it if necessary.

Step 11.2 – Identification Documents

Confirm the data.

If any change is necessary, please send an email to pre.graduacao@fc.up.pt (First Degree and Integrated Master ) or pos.graduacao@fc.up.pt (Master Degree and Doctoral Degree).

If you do not have the Tax Identification Number (TIN) filled in, it is mandatory to insert this information, and you can place the number that in your country corresponds to this data. If you are a student of Brazilian nationality, and do not yet have a TIN (Portugal), you must fill this field with the CPF (Individual Taxpayer Registration) number.

Step 11.3 – Place of Birth

Confirm the data and change it if necessary.

Step 11.4 – Nationality

Step 11.5 – Addresses

Confirm your permanent address and change it if necessary.
If the address in classes time is the same as your permanent address, please tick the box in “Address in classes time equal to permanent address”.

Step 11.6 – Status of student and household member

Fill in all the fields according to the presented options.

Step 11.7 – Academic pathway

Confirm the data and change it if necessary.

- If you have finished high school in Brazil, you must enter

Country: Brazil;
Academic level: 12th grade;
Write the name of the Educational Institution in the field “Another Educational Institution”.

Step 12 – Select the scholarship application

Select the option that applies to your situation and click in “Next”. If your situation changes after this registration, please send an email to pos.graduacao@fc.up.pt.

Step 13 – Select attendance scheme and tuition payment plan

Click "Next" .

Step 14 – Select registrations

Step 14.1 – U.Porto Optional courses

If the study plan of your Master/PhD gives you the possibility to choose U.Porto optional courses, you must choose these courses first by clicking in “Include course unit”, on the right side options menu. You must repeat this procedure for each U.Porto course.

These courses will remain in a conditional status until validation by the Services of the Faculty where the course takes place. .

Step 14.2 – Select the courses

Tick the boxes of the courses (1st and 2nd semester) in which you wish to be registered. You may consult the Master/PhD study plan by clicking the URL on top of this page “Curso/Ciclo de estudos”.

When finished, click in “Confirm registration”.

Passo 15 – Select/see tuition fee payment plan

Click "Next".

Step 16 – Print registration form and pay tuition

From this page you may access your Current Account (step 16.1) to consult your tuition fee payment plan. You may also access your Academic pathway (step 16.2).

Step 16.1 – Current Account

Click in “Current Account” to proceed with the payment of the tuition fee previously selected and the academic insurance (2€). PhD students must also pay the registration fee (100€). The payment methods can be found here.

Step 16.2 – Academic Path

You may find the following information “O estudante ainda não possui inscrições em ano letivo” (The student is not yet registered in the academic year). This happens because the first instalment of the tuition fee still hasn’t been paid.

After payment of the first instalment of the tuition fee, or after a granted scholarship, in your academic pathway will be shown the courses you have previously registered in.

If you have a scholarship or are applying to one, please check the information below.

On your Academic Pathway, you may submit a proof of scholarship application or scholarship contract. You must click on the first field identified as “Comprovativo de pedido de bolsa de estudos”, on the right side options menu.

After validation of the document by the Academic Services, your Current Account will be updated and the deadlines for payment will temporarily disappear. The deadlines for payment will reappear after the official approval of the scholarship application is inserted in the system.

To register in course units, please click in “Register in course units”. Click in “current account information” to proceed with the payment of the selected tuition fee payment plan and academic insurance (2€). PhD students will also have to pay the registration fee (100€).
