Change to a different Institution/Course pair 2023-2024

An act in which a student registers in an institution/course pair that is different from the one(s) he/she was enrolled in in previous academic years. The change in the institution/course pair can take place with or without an interruption in enrolment and registration in a higher education institution.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CHANGING TO A DIFFERENT INSTITUTION/COURSE PAIR
Students may request a course change or transfer insofar as:
  • They have enrolled, but have not completed, in an Institution/Course Pair in a higher education institution in Portugal, or abroad in a course of the same level, (professional or vocational courses are excluded). They have completed, in any academic year, upper secondary education national exams required by the intended course as admission exams, in the year of application, within the general admissions regime, with a minimum score of 95 points, or the corresponding admission entrance test or final examination in the foreign country-of-origin under the terms of the Resolution no. 530/2023, of 22/05.
  • For students entering higher education through special admissions (special admissions for students Over 23, Graduates of Other Higher Education Courses, Graduates of Technological Specialisation Courses, and International students), the admission exam may be substituted for special admission tests/exams, under paragraphs 2 and 3 of art. 12 of decree-law no. 64/2006 of 21/03, by decree-law no. 113/2014 of 16/07 (articles 7, 8, 10, 11) and by decree-law no. 36/2014 of 10/03 (articles 5 and 6), amended by decree-law no 113/2014 of 16/07, and decree-law no. 62/2018-of-06/08.
Note: Admission will be for first year only if the student obtained less than 30 ECTS in the institution/course pair he/she was enrolled in.
SELECTION AND RANKING CRITERIA
In descending order from the highest score on a scale of 200 points:
  • Score obtained in the admission test/exam..
CANDIDATE TIE-BREAKER CRITERIA
Criteria applied consistently in descending order from the highest score on a scale of 20 points:
  1. Secondary school final average
  2. Weighted average of the credits obtained in the curricular units of the previous academic year..
