Abstract (EN):
This paper discusses evidence that the analysis of EP restructuring complex
predicates must take the relation between syntactic and semantic factors into account.
Thus, it is argued that the embedded infinitive is temporally dependent on the matrix
tense, since only the matrix time interval can be selected as the Temporal Perspective
Point of the embedded situation and the utterance time is excluded. It is also argued that
in the infinitival domain a defective T with unspecified temporal features is projected. The
valuation of these features proceeds by Agree between the matrix and the embedded T,
originating only one tensed phase.
