The responsibilities of the Continuing Education Unit include: a) Conducting regular assessments of training needs and preparing an annual training plan/catalogue; b) Supporting administrative procedures required for the approval of credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing courses by the Executive Board and the Scientific Council; c) Implementing, maintaining, and updating the continuing education procedures manual, as needed; d) Developing, supporting, and promoting training plans and projects to meet the specific needs of professional groups, organizations, and other public or private entities; e) Supporting external accreditation and certification processes and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations in the context of continuing education programs; f) Preparing official letters, public notices, and announcements related to various academic activities; g) Defining and executing the procedures related to applications, enrolments, registrations, attendance, course completion, and other academic processes; h) Issuing certificates for continuing education courses; i) Monitoring tuition and fee payments related to continuing education programs; j) Gathering and providing all relevant supporting information for Executive Board decision-making, and fulfilling reporting obligations to U.Porto, supervisory ministry bodies, and official statistical agencies; k) Ensuring the quality of information made available in the FCNAUP information system, within its scope of activity; l) Keeping its records up to date; m) Providing information regarding non-degree academic training programs, through the appropriate channels and within designated times; n) Carrying out any other duties assigned by the Executive Board. |
