Internationalisation Unit

Mission:

The Internationalization Unit supports FCNAUP's internationalization strategy by promoting international cooperation and the mobility of students, academic, technical, specialist, management, and research staff. It operates under the supervision of a PhD-level academic appointed by the Director, following consultation with the Scientific Council.

Description:

The Internationalization Unit is responsible for:
a) Disseminating information on mobility programmes to the FCNAUP academic community;
b) Promoting FCNAUP’s participation in national and international academic mobility programmes by establishing partnerships and coordinating collaborative activities with higher education institutions and other partner organisations;
c) Supporting cooperation initiatives and encouraging FCNAUP's involvement in international academic programmes, networks, and projects;
d) Collaborating with the University of Porto in welcoming and integrating students through international cooperation programmes;
e) Establishing international cooperation agreements within the framework of existing programmes at the University of Porto in the scientific fields of Nutrition and Food Sciences, and supporting the development and strengthening of related projects, agreements, and protocols;
f) Participating in University of Porto working groups on cooperation and mobility, and implementing the related procedures and guidelines;
g) Collaborating with the University of Porto’s International Relations Office in managing student and staff mobility processes;
h) Managing and monitoring incoming and outgoing mobility agreements and processes for students, academic, technical, specialist, management staff, researchers, and graduates;
i) Ensuring the quality of information entered into the FCNAUP information system in its area of responsibility;
j) Keeping its records and archives up to date;
k) Providing information on matters related to internationalization and mobility through established channels and during designated hours;
l) Performing any other duties assigned by the Executive Board.
