Objectives
The Pathology and diet therapy course unit talks about physio-pathologic aspects of diseases, its ethiology and nutritional therapy, in a systematic and integrated way.
Learning outcomes and competences
Students acquire abilities in the area of clinical nutrition allowing them to prescribe dietary plans for several clinical situations.

Teaching methods and learning activities
a. Expositive methodology (theoretical classes) - with the aim to organize knowledge in each subject, in a pecking order, and to stimulate a critic character in clinical nutrition and diet therapy.
b. Demonstrative and questioning methodology (theoretical-practical classes)- with the aim to consolidate knowledge’s already acquired by students, through an active participation in discussion and presentation of the clinical cases. These sessions could be used to be present in seminaries about recent and important themes in the clinical nutrition and diet therapy scope.
c. Active and questioning methodology (practical classes) – with the purpose to teach ways to evaluate nutritional state and food intake in patients, methods to calculate nutritional individual therapy, its implementation, monitorizing and evaluation.

Calculation formula of final grade
- Evaluation will be made by final exam
- Final exam will be written, with a theory part (50%) and a practice part (50%). It is necessary to get at least 7,5 values in each part (theoric and practical). Final classification will be rounded to units.
- Theory could be comprise with multiple choose questions, or by true or false statements (each two wrong answers cash one right answer), and could also be included development questions (90 minutes).
- Practice exam will be a clinical case to be solve with a rightly food plan (90 minutes).
- The student will be approved equal or up to 9,5values.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
These students will be evaluated in the same way as the others.
Classification improvement
Who wants to improve the final result, it only could be made by an oral exam.
