Question and argue the relevance of deepening an area in terms of research;

Know techniques and methods of scientific research;

To plan and refine a research project;

 

Learning outcomes and competences

At the end of this subject, students should be able to present, both written and orally, the current state of the art in a certain area of the PhD in Food Consumption and Nutritional Sciences.

Designing and conducting research work. Design and production of publications.

Discussion of doctoral themes. Support for the writing of individual reports: State-ofArt,

Research project.

Individual presentations of work and group discussion.

Teaching methods and learning activities

This subject articulates with Researh Competences and Attitudes. Students must apply knowledge and competences acquired in that subject to conceive their research project. 

Tutorial orientation: learning using research and discussion with the supervisor.

The assessment is done through analysis of the project, delivered in writing by the students, and presented orally by the student to their peers and teachers.

The presentation and the report will be evaluated by a jury composed the unit professors, the thesis supervisor (s) and an external examiner, which will discuss the work with the student.
