Accreditation Unit

Mission:

The Accreditation Unit is responsible for developing and promoting continuous improvement in FCNAUP's educational offer.

Description:

The responsibilities of the Accreditation Unit include:

a) Coordinating and organizing the processes for the creation, internal accreditation, prior accreditation, recognition, modification, and/or discontinuation of FCNAUP's academic programs, in collaboration with Course Directors, FCNAUP’s Management Bodies, the University of Porto Rectorate, and A3ES, ensuring compliance with current legal procedures;
b) Coordinating and organizing the self-assessment, evaluation, and accreditation processes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd study cycles currently in operation;
c) Assisting in monitoring the quality of FCNAUP's academic programs and promoting the implementation of improvement measures;
d) Collecting, processing, and providing supporting information related to FCNAUP's academic programs, to support decision-making by Management Bodies and for internal and external dissemination;
e) Planning the preparatory academic procedures for each academic year, in collaboration with Course Directors, FCNAUP Management Bodies, and the Rectorate, including:
i) Academic calendars and tuition fees;
ii) Vacancy and Operation Requests (PVF) for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd study cycles;
iii) Vacancy and Operation Requests for Continuing Education Courses;
f) Ensuring the quality of the information made available within FCNAUP’s information systems, within its scope of activity;
g) Maintaining its archive up to date;
h) Providing information regarding the accreditation of academic programs, through the established communication channels and within the defined schedule;
i) Performing any other duties assigned by the Executive Board.
