Objectives

It is intended to promote reflection and continued experimentation in the painting field, according to the personal interests of each student, so that each one can develop a TP research project.

The project is centered on painting, and can address to internal or external reasons of the painting process, or in the analysis of the painting in mainstreaming with other areas of interest of each student.

The aim of the UC the student preparation for the second phase of the EC, Thesis / Project work, and it has this specific objectives:

- Develop expertise framed with the interests of the pictorial project.

-Develop conceptual skills for the realization of a survey within the theory and practice of painting research.

- To promote the questioning of cultural and personal identity on a global universe.

- Develop a project within the painting in rigorous dialogue with other contemporary

The UC takes the central place function of TP development of the Individual Pictorial Project (IPP).

It works closely with the different disciplines of the Master and aims:

-Develop technical skills framed with IPP interests.

-Develop conceptual skills for the realization of a survey within the theory and practice of painting research.

 

Although it is a UC TP, each student will be accompanied independently, in accordance with the interests of the IPP, looking to develop his pictorial skills, relating them to the need to build and enrich a critical and conceptual discourse within the field of contemporary art.

The UC operates as an open space of action, so it is important to use it in a continuous basis.

Initiatives in various areas will be promoted as research methodology, discussion and debate of student individual projects and other artists.

Teaching methods and learning activities

-Artistic Painting practice;

-Discussion of the works in practical and theoretical level (framed in the tutorial system);

-Exhibition, individual and group reflection of the IPP.

Eligibility for exams

Minimum 75% classes atendence.

Calculation formula of final grade

Evaluation Type: evaluation distributed without final exam.

Conditions of Frequency: the approval for this course is subject to the prerequisite of attendance to a minimum of 75% of classes.

Assessment is continuous, with two moments of periodic evaluation, in accordance with the timetable and rules proposed by the Faculty.

UC without final exam.

The UC assesses the practical implementation of projects taking into account the quality and rigor in conceptualization and execution.

Show and discussion of a selection of significant works of the project developed over the duration of the course.

Development of a report and reflection at the end of the year.

Evaluation parameters:

Proposal: 10%, IPP Development: 60% Attendance and participation: 15% Report: 15%
