Objectives
- Introduction to 3D modeling and animation techniques and technologies;
- Context of 3D modeling and animation in artistic practices;
Learning outcomes and competences
The introductory and specific character of Curricular Unit 3D Modeling and Animation, requires the focus on the basic contents of this technology. The aim is a basic training that allows the student sufficient autonomy to be able to try and put this technology available to their needs and proposals in the context of fine arts.

Teaching methods and learning activities
- Conducting exercises and projects that introduce and consolidate technical and theoretical knowledge on the use of 3D modeling and animation
- Part One (half semester) of Curricular Unit is characterized by instruction and basic training in technology.
- Second part of Curricular Unit is characterized by emancipation and contextualization of technique at the service of a student`s autonomous project.
The 3D Modeling and Animation is an optional Curricular Unit of the 1st degree in fine arts. The aim of this Curricular Unit is an introduction to 3D modeling and animation technologies in the context of fine arts. For this are used as introduction methods and basic training, exercises in the 3D field. In the case of this optional Curricular Unit which is only possible after the choice of the specialization in fine arts, it is understood that the student has autonomy and responsibility to contextualize this technology in its proposals and needs. Therefore reserves the second part of Curricular Unit to those autonomous proposals.
