Objectives
Know, understand, produce, coordinate and evaluate the graphic production of a service/communication design project.
The graphic production is the last stage of any graphic design project. On the other side is the area responsible for making available to the user/consumer idealized and produced artifact. As such, it is at this stage that is defined the quality of the project, that will influence all the decisions taken during the process.
Thus, this course is intended to demonstrate to students both the results of optimization capabilities, as the creative possibilities that has in itself the production technologies. It is also necessary to point out the procedural difference that involves the use of analog-mechanical and digital technologies.
Learning outcomes and competences
Get adequate and solid knowledge in graphic production solutions and technologies, particularly in the interrelationship of the design steps, production and management of a service or graphic design.

Theoretical component:- Introduction: historical and technological contextualization phenomenology;
- Key players: designer, writer, translator, reviewer, editor, producer, photographer, illustrator, printmaker;
- Conceptual and productive cycle of a service/graphic design;
- Graphic production and complementary services;
- Printing solutions and publication channels (3D, digital, green, functional, labeling and packaging);
- Text and image editing: color palette, photography, illustration, infographics;
- Prototyping: materials/surfaces and inks; pre-scale model and scale model; mono and contract proofs;
- File; Self-evaluation and Final Balance.
Practical component:- Curriculum project (individual or team work).

Teaching methods and learning activities
The teacher as counselor, mediator and provoker, stimulates and provides; reflection sessions on topics, authors, works, artefacts and handicraft or mechanical systems; sessions for research, development and implementation of real experimental and/or 'pilot' projects; collective presentation sessions, analysis, discussion and criticism of the projects; sessions opened with the presentation of graphic services, commented exposition of graphic objects, films and study visits.Evaluation Type

Eligibility for exams
Continuous assessment, which involves the systematic presence of the student in class. Punctuality and attendance are recorded in own street, provided and controlled by the teacher in the first thirty minutes from each class. The minimum frequency of attendance (attending classes) is 80% of the total contact hours. The evaluation components are: attendance, participation; notes; concept; dexterity manual; technical personnel; visual / oral presentation; attitude and self-motivation.
Calculation formula of final grade
The evaluation process is continuous and ongoing, and results from the sum of practical and theoretical experience demonstrated by the student during the school year, with a view to achieving the proposed objectivs. The final project will be presented, defended, exposed, discussed, evaluated and discussed in the last week of the classes.
