The manifestations of illustration, sometimes with ephemeral and effervescent approach, reflect most of the times about a society aware of its tradition and modernity. Thus, the illustration acquires its own language where often support and context claim themselves as a platform for the narratives. The book, the periodical publishing, poster or advertising among others boost the development of complementary images in the interpretation of text and the content of narrative. The illustrated images may assume themselves as experiment and build of independent imaginaries. There will be privileged self-publishing work.
There will be used as study-work, illustrated images divided in four different approaches:
Narrative and Fiction
Metaphor
Context
Identity
There will be provided material for analysis and discussion. Will be presented projects to develop upon the subjects that are being addressed during classes. There will be produced projects that affirm and reflect the use of illustration as part of visual narrative, in its editorial perspective according to a transdisciplinary model.
