Objectives
Provide new opportunities and advice on a practical level of painting, directed to students that wish to expand their curricular experience and knowledge in the process of painting.
It is a space to make several trials on theory / practice, research, and technical problems that may arise from the intrinsic duality between process / project, to build a knowledge base on various techniques and materials, in the exercise of Painting, and to give to the students, tools for thinking and reasoning in a consistent and objective way for their choice of practical methodologies in the development of a pictorial design.
Program
Since this is a course open to students from three years and different areas of study, the program will be individualized to the specificity of each student, consisting however, in the general scope of deepen the knowledge and experimentation of various plastic techniques in the field of painting.
In this subject each student will have the option to choose by the development of exercises , as such a complement to the construction of their individual project in the subjects of Atelier II or the choice of scheduled exercises about specific technologies to develop expertise in the various possibilities of application / use / maintenance of such material.
Examples of some of the possible techniques to develop: watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oil dry pastels , oil pastels, tempera, etc.., along with a theoretical approach on the supports / surfaces, pigments, oils, resins, glues and gums, waxes, solvents and additives typical of each technique.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The teacher monitors each student individually in during the class period, either in the additional period of care.
Will be analyzed and discussed the objectives of each student at the beginning and during the execution of works.
There will also be a point of situation an analysis at the end of each semester.

Eligibility for exams
In the evaluation is taken into account attendance and quality participation.
It is mandatory to comply with a minimum of 75% of classes.
It is essential to students' work being made in the workshop at the School, during and outside the class period.
Calculation formula of final grade
Diligence and persistence at work, technical capabilities, inventiveness and cultural degree demonstrated by each student, and capacity for self-criticism and criticism. Since this is a course open to students from three different years (including the second year of Design) will be considered the situation of each student, not only as individual case but also with reference to the experiences and levels of learning evident and traceable. The importance of each of the different factors listed above, varies in each case. Obviously, this is an evaluative activity which is not devoid of subjective elements.
